Hermès Scarf 90 cm – Point d’Orgue – Pierre Marie (2012)
VENDU
Point d’Orgue (Fermata), designed by Pierre Marie in 2012 and never reissued. Palette: coral, orange, brown, yellow and grey. In excellent condition, in its box. Rare, much sought after by collectors.
The earliest descriptions of the ancestor of the organ come from Greece and date from the 3rd century BC. For this scarf, Pierre Marie drew on engravings from a book published in 1766 by Dom Bédos de Celles, a Benedictine monk who was also a renowned organ builder.
As much as depicting this gigantic instrument, Pierre Marie’s design seems to project the sound of the organ, enveloping on all sides the listener who owns this magnificent scarf.
All our scarves have been carefully inspected by our team and are guaranteed authentic indefinitely.
